Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser) were seen filming scenes for Outlander season three in Edinburgh, Scotland. The preparation for filming along with tweets from extras beforehand led to the conclusion that Outlander was going to be filming in or around the Royal Mile area of Edinburgh on Tuesday. Fans in the area certainly were given a heads up about filming, and many flocked to the area to get a glimpse of the show in production.
