Starz released the first episode of Outlander last week on various platforms, including YouTube and On Demand, ahead of the series premiere this Saturday and the episode has drawn huge numbers over the past week. As of August 7th, “Sassenach” has been viewed 897,372 times by over 606,000 unique viewers. Reviews for Outlander have been trickling in this week and generally fall on the positive end of the spectrum (the series currently has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes). It will be interesting to see the numbers again after Outlander premieres this Saturday on Starz, but if these are anything to go by, the series is heading in the right direction.
