This week’s behind the scenes post begins, as always, with the photos shared by Outlander on Instagram. There are two new photos since last week. One focuses on Caitriona Balfe filming a close up, and the last is of Caitriona Balfe in that great fur-lined coat, joined by Ronald D. Moore and Matt Roberts.

@alarum13 @itsLaurene it matters but sometimes u make compromises for acting talent. Under 5'5 is pushing it though 🙂

.@itsLaurene when u cast something u find out very quickly that performance is most important. Can't get hung up on things like eye color
— Maril Davis (@TallShipProds) January 26, 2015
.@DebsterPA1 we always start with a prototype but you have to keep an open mind. Sometimes great acting trumps the right looks.
— Maril Davis (@TallShipProds) January 26, 2015
@Courtilini14 It is all VERY good. Yes, I esign for the characters, according to who they are, and what story we want to tell with costumes
— Terry Dresbach (@draiochta14) January 28, 2015
@OutlanderTO I am going for the rest of the season, the seasons beyond. I didn't come back into this business to do things the same old way.
— Terry Dresbach (@draiochta14) January 23, 2015
@FManor75 We make a range of sizes. Like the racks in a clothing store. Size 2- 18, or whatever. The leads have to come in a LOT.
— Terry Dresbach (@draiochta14) January 23, 2015
@Yr_Obt_Svt @Que3M Well, instead of having 8 weeks to do a zillion costumes and set up a dept., we have months.
— Terry Dresbach (@draiochta14) January 23, 2015
@Yr_Obt_Svt Well, we do have our regular cast. We'll do their costumes from now until shooting. The rest of the casting will happen as we go
— Terry Dresbach (@draiochta14) January 23, 2015
I think we designed almost all of Jamie's S2 costumes today. It usually takes days to finish one sketch, because you are putting out fires

What i meant was,of course it's terrific, the whole show, but my scene was beautifully lit.so much period.
