Emmy nominations were announced earlier today. While the series and its actors did not received any nominations, the behind the scenes crew of Outlander did receive accolades.
Costume designer Terry Dresbach and her team are nominated for “Outstanding Costumes For A Period Fantasy Series Limited Series Or Movie – 2016.” Named in the nomination are Terry Dresbach, Costume Designer, Elle Wilson, Assistant Costume Designer, Nadine Powell, Assistant Costume Designer, and Anna Lau, Costume Supervisor. The nomination specifically names episode 202, “Not in Scotland Anymore.” They are competing with Roots, Game of Thrones, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and Downton Abbey.
Production designer Jon Gary Steele, art director Nicki McCallum, and set decorator Gina Cromwell and their teams also received a nomination for “Outstanding Art Direction For A Period Series Miniseries Or A Movie Single Camera – 2016.” This nomination specifically names episode 207, “Faith,” and episode 202, “Not in Scotland Anymore.” They are competing with Downton Abbey, Fargo, Masters of Sex, and The Knick.
