*This position has been filled. There may be more writer openings in the near future.*
As Outlander TV News has grown, we need more writers to fill the gaps in coverage. One of the gaps is that we do not have a writer that has never read the books, any of them. A non-reader will have a different perspective on the show, not knowing any of the backgrounds of the stories, character, or what is to come. There are definitely scenes that appeal to those that have read the books and the writers have certain nods to the book material.
We are looking for a non-reader to write a review on every single episode of the upcoming season. That is thirteen episodes that will air every Sunday (unless there is a week or two where we do not have a new episode). This person will not have read Voyager, and it would be better if you have never read Outlander or Dragonfly in Amber either. This task should not be taken lightly, as it typically takes a couple hours or more to write a review, plus the time to watch the episodes. You will not be responsible for recapping the episodes.
You may also help us out with posts about news as well, but while the show is airing, your main focus will be reviewing the episodes.
If you are interested in applying, please send an email to outlandertvnews [at] gmail [dot] com with your name, the reason you would like to apply for this position, your writing experience, your experience with WordPress, detail how much of the Outlander series you have read, how much of the television show you have seen, and your understanding of the commitment of the position. Please submit a review of the season two finale with your application, so that we are able to see some of your work.
We hope to hear from applicants soon. The position will remain open until filled.
