Just like Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe hosted their own Twitter Q & As yesterday, it was Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin’s turn today to answer fans’ questions on Twitter. Today was the last day of filming on season five of Outlander. The Outlander-related questions and answers are below, but if you want to read all of them, go to their Twitter accounts. Richard Rankin’s Q & A is first on this post, but keep scrolling to read Sophie’s.
Just smashed a belter of a burrito. Let's do this! @Outlander_STARZ #Q&A #AskRichard

This Season was the first time I really got to work with @SamHeughan as our characters have been very much apart, previously. I can tell you that it was a heck of a lot of fun; he's quite a darling and there's a lot of really great stuff between those characters coming up! https://t.co/G3HswQRx7F

I think this is a really interesting part of Roger's story this season is trying to fit in to life in the 18th Century. Many a new skill had to be adopted over the course of the Season. He may, or may not, have given a little hand-to-hand combat a go. #AskRichard https://t.co/te11MQOIb6

Good Question! Well, he's a Historian so I think he'd enjoy a good period drama. He'd probably have a bit of a thing for Mary Berry, right? And #TheCrimsonField is a good shout – he'd be looking on in admiration at that Cpt. Thomas Gillan fellow. #AskRichard https://t.co/vsiwqOq9jT

Sure! I take Roger with me everywhere. He's a Goodyin! Very funny; handsome and smart too…! #AskRichard https://t.co/r0RHozWBmG

I've taken approximately 4,618 photos on set this Season. Which is about 25 less than @LlaurenLyle #AskRichard https://t.co/gLBBsMdqFJ

It was a tough Season but a great arc for Roger's story. There were a lot of challenges throughout the year and some of the toughest stuff – which I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to play – has been the most rewarding. #AskRichard https://t.co/ySSZZo4pkM

Good question. If any of them apply – it's Pride and a touch of Wrath – as we may see flickers of. He has values, many of them very traditional ones which evolve and change over the course of his story. Whether or not he would admit it, his Pride often leads to conflict. #Askme https://t.co/jobKmWrB4J

Yes, this is actually me. Well spotted. It's testament to an extraordinary makeup team and some pretty out there acting skillz. #AskRichard https://t.co/23HnDqQxNe

Thanks for joining in, Folks!! Great questions and sorry if I didn't get a chance to get round to yours. Need to boost, to make way for @SkeltonSophie and #AskSophie. Have fun. I'll be doing Gambit matches on #Destiny2 if you're interested. #AskRichard @Outlander_STARZ

And now Sophie’s:
Bree doesn’t always let people in very easily but, once she does, she will protect them and be there for them no matter what. With Jemmy, it’s no different. She will go to any lengths to love and protect that little troublemaker ♥️ #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/yQlg7ZzuJ5

It’s difficult because, really, if we’re going on real-life mental age then Jamie would actually be Bree’s child. Right @SamHeughan ?????? Muahahahahaha @Outlander_STARZ #AskSophie https://t.co/BoqLDYgRgc

Absolutely. I think B not being able to execute her talent&passion in that century is one of her main challenges&frustrations this season. She is left to the “female” tasks a lot of the time. But her 21stcentury strong-willed self does start to break expectations #Asksophie https://t.co/JNbZBgtWWJ
— Sophie Skelton (@SkeltonSophie) November 21, 2019
Bree has a lot going on internally but she is very guarded and stoic on the outside a lot of the time. I love deciding when and to whom she lets her true emotions show. She has to really trust someone and she has to be feeling brave #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/c7XzkhaXAC

Yes, stick about 25 heat packs to my body. Right @caitrionambalfe ??!!! The guys would find this odd! Women’s clothing was as practical in those days! #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/wxRQzD6Y4q

From last season it was the scene where B goes to the jail to talk to Bonnet. The take in the final cut was a stronger version but I did a take where I couldn’t hold it in and B let the gates open. I couldn’t stop crying and shaking after the take. #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/4i96yu0qOi

Her intelligence and quick thinking and her desire and determination to protect those she loves, no matter what the cost. #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/wAxXmcjYAG

Bree rises to every and any challenge and I admire that about her. Motherhood seems to come naturally to her even though it’s exhausting and she’s on her own at the house a lot. But marriage is magical and as is Jemmy #AskSophie @Outlander_STARZ https://t.co/oWAmprGnVu

It’s tough but Bree always rises to a challenge. She is so strong and she puts those she loves before herself so she will protect Jemmy no matter what and will love him no matter what. ♥️ @Outlander_STARZ #AskSophie https://t.co/B5n47Eq6ww
