In some tweet replies by author Tara Bennett, she revealed that her The Making of Outlander books which are companions to the television series, will not continue. The second book in the series, The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons Three & Four, did not sell as well as the first book. Because of this, the publisher decided not to continue with the book series. However, Tara says that another publisher could pick up the license and decide to make more. Also, it wouldn’t hurt if fans decided to continue to buy these books. Continued sales means sustained interest no matter how long ago they were written. Links are below to purchase the books, whether they are for you or newfound fans of the television series. In the times of COVID-19, if you have a local, independent bookseller that you can support, ask if you can get the books from them (or any books you are interested in).
From Amazon: The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons One & Two and The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons Three & Four
From Barnes & Noble: The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons One & Two and The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons Three & Four
From The Poison Pen (signed copies): The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons One & Two and The Making of Outlander: The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons Three & Four
Sadly, the publisher is not going forward w/ more show companions. The 2nd didn't sell well enough. Maybe another pub will pick up the license but that remains to be seen. Glad you enjoyed the ones we got to make!

Me too but it's all a numbers game. I'm so proud of the two we made & the reviews from the fans who love them 🙂
